Happy April Fool’s Day – let me know if anyone got pranked! I know my classic prank when I was younger was with my dad, the first time I remember doing it, he had just picked me up from primary school and we were walking out the gates and I screamed and shouted that he had a spider on his back, I think he actually believed me as well. Such a silly one but at that age it was hilarious. I think next year I might properly pranked my boyfriend and actually plan something really good.
Anyway on with today’s post…
A new thing I wanted to start doing was monthly goals.. at the start of each month I write a list of things I want to achieve in that month, then at the end of the month I come back and review them and see what I did and what I didn’t do.
- EAT MORE HEALTHY
This is something I have actually been doing towards the end of March, I’ve definetly improved on what I eat and I’m a lot more aware about the food that goes into my body. I’m finding myself not as hungry as often because I’m busy, I think sometimes people get carried away and eat because they are bored not because they’re actually hungry.
- WORK OUT
This is always on everyones list and everyone wants to do this, but I really really want to get into a habit of just working out for a little bit everyday. FACT: Did you know it only takes 21 days for your body to get use to something and in a routine so maybe if I could work out for 21 days it wouldn’t be so hard. I’ve brought Charlotte Crosby’s 3 Minute Belly Blitz and I thought this would motivate me but I have played it once and that wasn’t even the whole way through! So any tips to get me motivated would be appreciated.
- USE INSTAGRAM MORE
I love Instagram I always have but I found myself almost scared to post the things I wanted to because it was filled with friends and family and felt judged, so now I have two accounts, a personal one and one that is linked to my blog which you can check out here. I’m definitely enjoying Instagram a lot more, I’m not sure how I feel about having a theme though, it works for some people but I think I just prefer uploading different images when I like and I’m not restricted to make it match. Here I am waffling on and I haven’t even explained my goal..I want to upload more and regularly, and more of my photography and style images.
- ORGANISE BETTER
I have definitely improved my organising, I think I get a lot more done in my spare time than I use to, but I would still like to use it the best I can, this week I have been creating spreadsheets and making a schedule for my free time and what I would like to get done everyday, I think this will work well with fitting in work out sessions and blog posts – which brings me on to my next goals.
- SCHELDULE POSTS
I find my blog is kind of messy when it comes to posting, I just upload when I like and when I have a post ready which is usually around twice a week or sometimes I miss a week. For April I would like to have scheduled days maybe 2 days a week and always at the same time which at the moment is 6pm.
- A SERIES OF POSTS
I never really thought of doing this before, I know people do it on youtube where they do a video everyone month such as a monthly favourites of beauty products they have been using or what they brought during that month, I just never thought about doing it with blogging. You may have seen my February Favourites well I have a few more ideas coming up for March which I’m quite excited about and would like to carry this on through out the year.
