Cath Kidston 2016 Planner Review

If you’re anything like me you’ll be obsessed with notebooks/planners, end up buying a whole load of them and then never using them because you’re fussy as fuck and I don’t like the layouts, for me the way a planner is designed is a big part, I can’t really get stuck into them other wise and I end up forgetting about them for months and before I know it it’s the end of the year and I have to look for another!

Well this year I can happily say I really loved my weekly planner, my sister bought it for my birthday which was in May so that’s nearly half way through the year and I don’t think I even used one before this purely because I wasn’t happy with any of the ones I bought myself. I’ve used it nearly every day since, and by used I mean filled the pages with everything so it actually looks like how a planner should look.

It’s from Cath Kidston and the front/back is a beautiful flower design, I didn’t hate this design but it wasn’t a cover that made me ‘happy’ so I covered it myself with some left of camper van wallpaper I had, this made it more personal and it feels like mine. It’s also flexible/bendy and floppy so it feels great to hold. At the front is ‘Month at a glance’ so you are able to see each month as a whole. It then goes on to each week being spread across the left hand page and a ‘notes’ page on the right – this is handy for those things you want to get done in the week but not a specific day.

At the back you have sections for Address Book, Birthdays, Museums & Galleries, Films & Books, To Do Lists, A Bigger Notes Section, Recipe Ideas and Shopping Lists which are very handy because they allow you to rip them out.

So when the start of 2017 came around I ran to Cath Kidston to pick up another! This was exactly the same so I was super happy and it was in the sale for £10 instead of £15, it was also a flower design and I stuck on a cute print from That Lame Company for some motivation!

This planner might not work for everyone but it definitely works for me, it keeps everything in one space and makes me feel much more organised with blogging as well as my personal life!

Nothing better than nice new stationary for the year. I swear by my filofax. I keep looking at doing a bullet journal but I’m not sure I’m artistic enough haha.

I bought a basic planner two years ago out of necessity really, but when I found the bullet journal system I was completely in love with it for the fact that it was so customizable. The Cath Kidston planner sounds really neat though! Sounds like a mix between a regular planner and a bujo system!

I never get passed a few weeks with a planner, it doesn’t matter how much a try. Maybe one day ill be more committed especially when they’re as cute as this Cath Kidston one.

I am soo fussy with planners. I’ve been trying to start a bullet journal since the start of the year and I’m to scared I’ll ruin it so I’m living off scrapped bits of paper to plan my life. That Cath Kidston planner seems adorable. I love anything with a cute design.

I tried a bullet journal last year but I was the same so it didn’t work out for me, was being too carful and trying to make everything neat and perfect! A more scruffy look works better for me then I can fill it with notes and not worry about it looking perfect! It’s definitely helped with my organisation! x
