While in Alicante we really wanted to do something or visit somewhere we would remember. We looked at Theme parks, Water Parks and Water sports but they all cost a lot of money and weren’t really drawing us in. No matter where you were in the city you could always see a massive mountain looking over the city. We saw what looked to be a building right at the top and decided to do some research and discovered there was a castle right at the top.
We paid €2.70 for a lift to take us to the top. Now I don’t know about you but when I’m told a lift will take me to the top of a mountain I imagine a glass cable car so you can see the views while you travel to the top. This is not what I got. I was highly disappointed. It was a lift, smaller than the average lift I usually step in, a guy stood in the corner and took our tickets, clicked a button and within a few minutes we were in a castle.
I don’t think I’ve ever been to a castle out of the UK, so I found it very interesting walking around the grounds, it was big and there was lots for us to see and explore. I think me and Dom most enjoyed it because it was a great location for shooting! There was no entrance fee like you normally get, I think it would be my weekly shooting trip if it was closer to home!
The views from the top were amazing! I’ll never forget how amazed I was at seeing such a beautiful city from above! The pictures really do not justify it. I was so disappointed I couldn’t get a good picture to show just how stunning the buildings look. There was so much going on that it all looked crowded and awful in the pictures! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a city from above, not like this anyway.
I hope you enjoyed seeing what I captured of the castle. If you haven’t already, don’t forget to check out my previous post where I shared more images of Alicante! I posted most my images on Instagram as well, I’m extremely happy with how that’s looking recently, I’d love it if you gave me a follow.
