“Your perfume is your message, your secret slogan”
This month I’ve been really enjoying trying out different perfumes from my usual ones. So I thought I’d show you my favourites. I have been gifted Signature by Chloé for years (you can guess why that is) it’s a scent that will never get old to me and one that I tend to keep aside for special occasions rather than an everyday use but that’s only so I can hold onto it for as long as possible. Before only recently I hadn’t used this perfume for a while but I’ve been finding myself picking it up more and more this month. The design of the bottle screams Chloé to me, it’s classic and simple with a little nude ribbon around the lid. The scent is described as combining freesia and peony with lily of the valley, magnolia and bouquets of voluptuous rose in the heart, laid on a woody base of ambergris and cedar. The scent reminds me a lot of a sample I recently tried of a Clive Christian perfume after being advised they were the best perfumes ever. All the perfumes feature a range of exquisite fragrances crafted with rare and precious ingredients. The scents are very floral just like Chloe. The samples I tried were Woody Leather and Green Floral, both very strong and unique smells.
“Fall into the dream”
Ghost’s new fragrance, Dream, is definitely the perfect everyday wear for me. This is another floral based scent I’ve discovered in October and haven’t been able to put down. I’m useless at describing scents but that is obviously the most important part when choosing a fragrance so it’s a good job Ghost describe their perfume spot on and can tell you exactly what’s in it. The scent is described as a multifaceted, floral fragrance with a subtle depth. The scent opens with delicate 100% natural Rose Essential and fragrant Moroccan orange flower. A floral heart of heady Egyptian jasmine and pretty violet develops to reveal a sensual base of woody notes, ambroxan musks and patchouli. Deliciously transparent; light yet complex, Dream encapsulates the pink clouds of a hazy sunset, the play of light on rippling water. You can definitely smell the rose flower and a tint of woody like it outlines. The bottle itself is very elegant but difficult to photography due to the shape and in certain light you find it reflects but I got there in the end. This is the perfect fragrance to carry in your hand bag, its light weight and the scent is soft yet noticeable which is exactly what you want on a daily basis.
I’m always on the hunt for new fragrances now Christmas it’s far off, they always make great gifts!
