Summer has come to an end. The temperate has dropped enough to pull out knitted jumpers and blanket scarfs which I’m absolutely living for. I’m actually currently sat writing this in my dressing grown and fluffy socks. Everyones hyped about wearing boots and even though I’ve been wearing them all summer anyway It’s great to see other peoples joy for them again. Although I much prefer dressing for the colder months and autumn is 100% my favourite season I’m not looking forward to the clocks going back and it being dark before I’ve even finished work. I’m certainly going to struggle getting out of bed in the mornings.
I’m pretty happy with how my summer turned out this year, I know I could have done a lot more thrilling things but with working most the time I think I did well with the things I did do. Apart from spending most nights socialising with friends that were back from uni I also flew to Budapest for a few days to explore the capital. Visited London, Bristol, Oxford, Birmingham Botanical Gardens and few different towns in the Cotswolds. I made an effort to document more of my every day life, take photos of anything and everything and I think it’s really paid off. What I was so desperate to do this summer was to be able to shoot in a sunflower field and as you can see from the photos I managed to do just that. It’s my all time favourite shoot, the second being the one from the Windmill field.
Despite feeling like I’ve been working on my blog a lot over summer when I actually look at how many times I posted it’s very little. There’s so much behind the scenes stuff going on that sometimes working on my blog doesn’t always mean creating a post. I’ve done an awful lot of planning and spent hours trying to come up with original ideas. Sometimes spent ages putting a piece together and then just not being full happy with how it turned out so decided for it to not be published. I’ve definitely spent more time on Instagram than ever the last few months. Sometimes posting everyday other times only once a week. For me though social media is a huge part of my blog and so working on my Instagram benefits my blog as well.
I’m planning to post on here more regularly the next few months. Even with the weather being duller I’m not going to let that hold me back from getting out and shooting. Let me know the kind of content you enjoy reading the most, it’s always helpful to know what my readers like.
