Making Some Changes

Making Some Changes. Bowl of granola and a cup of tea
If you read my Embracing Early Starts post back in August you’ll know I’ve been making some changes when it comes to being healthier. I’ve really been thinking about what I’m putting into my body at every meal, this doesn’t mean I don’t treat myself sometimes though, just that I’m more aware than before. I definitely haven’t been consistent with this, lately I’ve been slacking with eating healthy but I’m telling myself it’s okay to go through phases and I don’t need to be so hard on myself. After numerous trial and errors I think I can safely say I finally cracked an exercise routine that works for me. Again something I go through phases of but definitely more consistent than any other time I’ve tried. I’m not trying to lose weight, just trying to be a little bit more healthy, I think it’s really good for myself mentally as well as physically and makes me feel a lot better about myself on a daily basis. So when So Shape got in touch about their new Smart Foods I thought this was a great chance to give them a trial. So Shape’s main focus isn’t weight loss it’s just about being healthier. They offer low calorie healthy meals with zero sugar, rich in protein and high in fibre. I’m an awful snacker between meals so when I saw they offer pancakes and muffins, two things I’m always treating myself to anyway I was even more excited to give them a try. They also do granola, mug cakes and chocolate chips which make fantastic pancake toppings. My favourite was the granola, I really enjoyed both the chocolate and red berries flavour and after eating porridge every morning for so long it’s so nice to be able to change it up for something just as healthy. I also enjoyed the pancakes and vanilla-flavoured muffins, they were perfect for when I was craving something sweet. I was disappointed with the mug cakes though, I was expecting them to rise a lot more than they did and the taste just wasn’t for me. Overall I really enjoyed trying out So Shape’s Smart Food, I’ve discovered a new love for granola, something I’ve never even tried up until now.
